This connection not proven, but seems the most likely.

The 1767 Yorkshire Marriage Allegation shows Joseph Mitchell age 30 & Hannah Dearnelley age 22.
At the date of the marriage Hannah daughter of William D was 23 although presumably the age stated 
would be that of the date of the allegation so that might be OK as she was only just 23.  But I don't 
have any Joseph Mitchell locally of anywhere near that age.  The closest is 37.  I wonder if he was a 
comer-in (there are candidates in FamilySearch from not too far away) or whether he lied about his 
age.  If the need for a licence stemmed from parental objections about age difference the latter might
