2. At William's marriage to Ann Smith - the signature is 'William Derniley' and 'Derniley' was the spelling used by his brothers John and Joseph, although William signed 'Darniley' at Joseph's marriage in 1775. The 1775 and 1777 signatures are otherwise very similar.
