Ken served in the UK and was shot down over Munster towards the end of the war. I believe he was held briefly as a POW but I have not found evidence of this. He ended up in an American hospital and was eventually sent back to the UK and then home to Australia.
Brothers Ken and Noel got up to some highjinks in their planes, flying low over the main street of Gladstone to say hello to their parents and girlfriends. I believe they were disciplined for these exploits.
