Eli Dearnally
ID# 19276, b. about 1787
We currently have three (or four?) Eli D's around at this time, who could all be the same:
1. Eli Dearnelly married to Lydia Tinker (m.1776)
Lydia died 1783
2. Eli Dearnley married to Hannah Roebuck (m.1785)
Hannah died 1805
3. Eli Dearnally married to Hannah Castle (m.1809)
The only argument against this is that on the marriage to Lydia Tinker, Eli signed his name as Eli Dearnly. On the marriage to Hannah Roebuck - 'Eli Dearnley his x mark'.
It's possible that it's the same Eli but the clerk in 1785 simply leapt to the conclusion that he was illiterate, wrote the name & told him to make his mark. - IG
There is another possibility for marriage #3 - an earlier marriage for the Eli D who married Sarah Naylor in 1812, although no suitable burial has yet been found.

We may have some confusion here!
