Earl “Stemmy” Donerly, 89, a life long Red Hook resident, died Friday, November 6, 2009 at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, NY. Born on October 29, 1920 in Red Hook, NY , he was the son of the late Harold and Flossie Coons Donerly. For many years and until his retirement, he delivered fuel oil throughout the area for Thorco Fuels and Kosco. Steemy was a lifelong member of the Red Hook Fire Company. He married Mary Chumbres and she predeceased him on May 16, 1998.
