Arthur was a Major of the 317th Brigade Royal Field Artillery,
The above photo is from February 1919.

The picture confirmed as Arthur Leonard Smith by his nephew (& godson). He knew him as Uncle Len.
Arthur's nephew added that between the wars Uncle Len was running a (timber?) business somewhere out in Africa and that he thinks that it was some illness that he contracted out there that affected his health so badly for his remaining years. He remembers meeting him only a handful of times but knew him straight away from his photo. - K.A.

A researcher, living in Belgium, is studying the history of WW1 in his village.
The 317th Brigade Royal Artillery (UK) fought near his home and he is looking for other photos of Arthur Leonard Smith who is believed to be the Officer who commanded this Brigade in late 1918.
Any other pictures of Arthur & family would be most welcome.
