Charlotte Smith "cousin" is believed to be Charlotte Rothery born 1851 Heckmondwike, Yorkshire who married Charles Smith born 1849 Crofton, Yorkshire.
We do have a William Rothery who was married to Jane Townend. Jane was previously married to Jonathan Dearnley, a third cousin of Andrew.
However, this "cousin" link does seem tenuous.
