The marriage of Edward Darnley to Jane Fraser in 1805 and the name 'Darnley' thereafter (although we believe that Edward's death was registered as 'Dearnaley').
The clincher, for me, is that Edward's brother-in-law James Charlesworth witnessed the above marriage.
James Charlesworth's wife was recorded as Jane Denerley at their marriage.
