Joan and her second husband Thomas Watson were dead by 1500 when her son Richard Bentley reclaimed Gyses from Richard Lynne who had acquired it on paying Joan's debts.' Marian Bentley could have been related to this family. Arrington isonly 4 miles north of Bassingbourn.
