re: Mary Roebuck
There is Mary the daughter of William Roebuck of Foldhead, Austonley, bapt 05 Jun 1785 which makes her very young.

There's a Mary dau of Daniel Roebuck of Lane Head, Kirkburton, bapt 15 Jan 1783. This is Lane Head, Cartworth which is near Holme. There were a few of other baptisms of children to Daniel Roebuck of Lane Head in 1760, 1764 & 1773. There are few candidate Daniel Roebucks. It seems likely that the father of the 1760s children might have been the Daniel R of Malkinhouse, also in Cartworth who had a couple of children bapt in the 1750s one of whom was also Daniel. This Daniel, bapt 24 Jan 1757, seems likely to have been the father of Mary Roebuck.

A Daniel Roebuck of Kirkburton m a Sarah Knight OTP in Almondbury on 17 Sep 1780. A Daniel R of Holme had dau Lydia bapt 05 Nov 1780 & Dan of Lanefield, Holme, had son Edmund bapt 04 Jun 1785. The only other reference I can find to Lanefield was the baptism of William, the son of William Knight on 28 Jul 1787; this William also had a son Edmund.

It seems to me that we have:
Daniel R senior moved from Malkinhouse to Lane Head.
His son Daniel Roebuck junior married Sarah Knight just before their first child was due.
Sarah had the child at her mother's home, not unusual for a first child at the time.
At the time of the second child they'd moved to Daniel's family home but by the time of the third they'd moved Sarah's family home. As this now puts them in Holme it's not out of line for Mary to marry another Holmer.

Are Joseph Dearnaly & Mary Roebuck the parents of Ralph? If they started life in Holme a move over the Moss wouldn't be too remarkable.
