Evidence for Richard being Emmota's father is from his 1550 will.
He names his son Richard (named as brother-in-law by Emmota's second husband) and mentions 'daughters'. He then names Nicholas Shirclif as his son-in-law. - JAD.

Lawrence names his grandson Richard Fenton and his six grand-daughters: Ellinoure, Dorothie, Elizabeth (who married Thomas Strynger), Marie, Katerine, and Ann.
Problem - no Emmota.
I think the most likely explanation is that Ellinoure is a transcription error. (Not the only one, as her sister Elizabeth gets called Gertrude and her mother Anne is listed as Agnes.) Richard Fenton and Thomas Strynger were both overseers for Edmund D's will.
