Uncle Bert was such a character, he lived in a Queensland country town called Mitchell and worked all his life as a Jackaroo. He was a salty old character and used to come to Brisbane in his later years to get his skin cancers cut off and stay with my Nana Ida, he had worked in the sun all his life. He was a quietly spoken man, quite shy but very caring and a very hard worker. He never married or had kids. He was born in 1916 and died in 1992. He was buried in the Mitchell cemetery. - family member.
