"He states that he was sent to Frances in August 1915 & transferred to Salonika in Dec 1915, Had Dysentery in May 1916 in Salonika, sent to Malta, suffered from Rheumatic Fever in Malta 29.6.16 admitted to Netley Hosp from Malta on 31.8.16 Remained in Netley up to date of admission to Edmonton, during the whole time he was in Netley he suffered very much from swollen joints."
