Had a car in the 1930's - I remember Grandpas car. I think it was a Jowett. He kept it in the garage always when not on the road and he kept it beautifully clean and polished. (family member).

Our side of the family recalls that Nora's father William Dearnley was a keen genealogist and that he suggested that the family might be descended from Lord Howard of Glossop. (Possibly based on Mary Howard/Heaward being the wife of his great grandfather Amos Dearnaley)
