IN MEMORIAM.
-----
THOMAS EDGAR DEARNALY,
Born 25 September, 1911.
Entered into Rest, 31st October, 1928.
-----
He came to us in September, 1925, and had a very successful school career. He worked himself up into the Upper V. Form and gained the position of School Prefect. In games he proved himself to be very good. He gained his 1st XI. cricket colours in 1928 and had every appearance of developing into a good bowler. He also gained 2nd XI. football colours in 1927 and but for his unfortunate death he would have gained his 1st XI. colours in 1928.
He was a boy of very quiet and retiring disposition and perhaps the chief features in his character were his gratitude for help amd advice either in work or games, and his willingness to help others. This unselfish dispostion made for him many friends. He was taken from us very suddenly. When apparently in the best of health and full of life, he developed an abscess in the thigh and though he was immediately operated on at Northampton and everything that surgical and nursing skill could do, was done, blood poisoning set in and he passed away peacefully. His untimely death cast quite a gloom over the whole school.
-----
To his sorrowing relatives we offer our sincere sympathy.
