This from Ancestry.com (dayledebry):
"I picked up an old family bible (mid 1800's) at an estate sale for $5.00 - they were going to throw it away if it wasn't purchased - would be willing to send it to a relative of the people listed, for the postage only. Large, leather bound, in very poor condition, but the family marriage page is in good condition - lists John and Lizzie DEARNALEY married Dec. 25th 1850; Mrs. Lizzie Dearnaley died Dec. 11, 1910 in Los Angeles at Hollenbeck Home, buried at Evergreen Cemetery L.A. (California). Leather nameplate inside has Mr. & Mrs. J. DEARNLY."
The above marriage date seems incorrect as Lizzie would only be 14 years old. John Dearnaley & Betty Ellis married 25 Dec 1860, I am assuming that this is the same pair.
Unfortunately, The bible is no longer available. - MED
