Adrian was an accomplished artist. He produced the oil painting below while he & Mabel were in Toronto. The painting was a star exhibit at an art fair in Toronto in 1921.
The current owners speculate that the woman in the blue gown could be Mabel.
Peter Ward (a family member) adds the following thought:
Adrian Berrington has been written about by Volker Welter who mentioned Adrian's friendship with the Scottish poet Rachel Annand Taylor. A portrait of Taylor by John Duncan hangs in the Aberdeen Art Gallery. I was immediately struck by her hair colour and drew a parallel with the hair colour of the unknown lady in the painting. I wonder if it could possibly be Rachel Annand Taylor or perhaps influenced by the 1907 painting?
