Ian Goddard:
I'm working from the HDFHS transcripts. They give the burial date in '48 & the baptism on 08/11/1746 with no additional baptism. The burials and baptisms are in the same book. The fiche (and I think IGI work from the West Yorks. Archive Service's fiches) is very difficult to read. As per my previous email I couldn't make anything out of it. I suspect we're looking at three different transcripts of the same register entry of which two agree. Three because HDFHS will have looked at it as part of both the baptismal and burial transcriptions. I think the only definitive answer would come from checking the original at Wakefield. However, given that HDFHS have read it the same way twice, that it seems to correspond to the earlier baptism and that there is a further baptism, James, later in the same year, I'm inclined to believe there's just a burial.

We are assuming an earlier marriage for William, as wife Ann is not mentioned in the children's baptismal records until 1765.
This may be incorrect & Ann may be the mother of all the children.
Originally, we had this marriage to Fanny. This was from an incorrect burial entry ('Fanny Wife of Wm Dearnelly of Woodall'), which was corrected in a second 1758 burial document.
