We know there was a son John; he may not have been the 1708 child. Sarah is also uncertain as she is much later and we don't have a Sarah in John's will. - IG.

In the Name of God Amen I John Dernerley of Woodhead in the parish of
Mottram Longdendale in the County of Chester Yeoman being Weak of Body but of
Sound Mind and Memory (blessed be God) Do this Ninth day of May in the year
of our Lord 1749 make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner
following (that is to say) - First my Mind and will is that all my just Debts
Funerale Expenses Probate of my Will and Exhibitting an Inventory be paid by my
Executors hereafter mentioned - Then my will is that my Executors do so soon as
can be after my Decease Sell and Dispose of all my Goods Cattle and Chattles that
I am now possessed off or shall dye possessed off (save and except two Bedds and Bedding
and all such other Goods as were my Wifes before her Intermarriage) Together
with a certain Tenant right which I have in a Messuage or Tenement situate in
Padfield in the parish of Glossop and County of Derby which I hold by Lease for a
Term of twenty one Years (about Sixteen of which are still in being) under His Grace
the Duke of Norfolk - and that after the Sale thereof they do apply the money
arising therefrom to and for the Uses following (that is to say) That they putt out
at Interest the Sume of Eighty pounds part thereof for the raiseing of four pounds
