This is the last Will and Testament of me James Dearnaley of Tintwistle in the County of Chester farmer. First my will and mind is that after the discharge of all my just debts funeral and probationary expenses by my executors hereinafter named, that they do proceed as soon as convenient after my decease to collect all my outstanding accounts and dispose of all my household goods and furniture farming stock, and all other personal property of every description whatsoever of which I may die possessed either by public sale or private contract or both as to them shall seem most proper, and out of the residue (if any) I give to my daughter Hannah and to my son Henry each the sum of ten pounds in discharge of all or any wages they may demand from my said executors after my decease, and as to any and all further residue arising out of my estate and effects I give to each of my sons and daughters who are living at the time of my decease to be equally divided share and share alike to each of them. Lastly revoking all former Wills by me made I appoint my son in Law George Hadfield of Tintwistle aforesaid Shoemaker and Isaac Dearnaley of Tintwistle aforesaid joint executors of this my Will. In witness where of I have hereunto set my hand this eighteenth day of January one thousand eight hundred and fifty four.
