In the will of Edward Darnelly apothecary 1606-1676 he names 2 sons and one grandchild.  Then, amongst all his other bequests, he says: Item I give unto Ffrancis Coppinger and Mary Coppinger son and daughter of Ffrancis Coppinger the sume of ffive pounds to each of the children.  There is no indication of the relationship.  The previous bequest is to the Company of Apothecaries and the next is to a church minister.   There are no other bequests, other than his 2 sons and grandchild mentioned above, that sound as if they might be relatives.
 
My assumption from this is that the Mary Darnelly who married Francis Coppinger was a relative of Edward's but not a direct descendant.  The only possibility I can come up with is that she was Edward's niece, Mary Darnelly 1637 bpt Cambridgeshire, the son of his brother Daniel 1604.  Daniel was buried 1 Apr 1659 in St Mary Woolchurch Haw, London (source London BMDs Ancestry) so this would place his daughter Mary in London at the time of the Coppinger marriage.
