Birth:
Roger Derneley was born about 1536
 .
Roger Derneley was the son of Oliver Derneley and Agnes (?)
Marriage:
Roger Derneley married Johanna Prince, daughter of James Prince and Elizabeth (?), in 1564 at Barton Stacey, Winchester, Hampshire, England,
 .
between 1568 and 1573 Roger Derneley lived at Winchester, Hampshire, England,
In 1568 he was in Winchester:
From www.british-history.ac.uk (also in The National Archives ref E 40/12591)
Indenture, 10 August, 10 Elizabeth, whereby 'Stephan' Cooke, the son of 'Stephan' Cooke, of Micheldever, 'haburdassher,' puts himself apprentice to Roger Durnellie, of the city of Winchester, 'haburdassher,' from Lady Day last for nine years, &c; to receive 20s. at the end of the term.
And he was still in Winchester in 1573, when his brother Edmund wrote his will.
And then to Farnham ?
Roger's daughter Scholastica (Scolles) married in Farnham, Surrey in 1596.
There are some other references to Roger in Farnham:-
On findmypast:
Eleanor Durnelly buried 29 November 1598, Farnham, Surrey.
Joan Durnell buried 08 Sep 1602 Farnham, Surrey.
On Ancestry:
Ellenor Durnells buried 29 November 1598, dau of Roger Durnelly.
Unfortunately, turning the pages of the Ancestry record, the page for September 1602 is missing. But my suspicion is that the Joan burial is for Roger's wife.
Also on findmypast, there is a reference to a will involving Roger in Farnham, in 1616. Unfortunately, he is merely a witness to this will, but it confirms his residence in Farnham. See Roger Dernelly, 1616, Surrey Wills.
I have searched for Roger's burial in Surrey without success.

There were at least 2 children by 1569.
I think Roger and Johanna may have had 2 more children in addition to Daniel and Mary. In her will, Alice Mill lists many of her relatives in family groups. Having mentioned her 'brother' Roger, Alice then mentions a niece whose name looks like Schelly*, with surname Wyre/Wyne/Vyne, who could be a married daughter of Roger's, then niece Mary Dernelly and her child, then nephew Danyell Dernelly and 'children', and then 'I give to Beniamyn Dernelly's child xxs'. So I assume that Beniamyn is a son of Roger's who had died before 1621. I cannot find any trace of Beniamyn.

Alexander Brown in The Genesis of the United States Vol II published 1891 and now on www.archive.org provides brief biographies of 'persons connected with the founding of Virginia' and includes:
"Darnelly, Daniel, grocer and apothecary, 3. Sub £37 10s, pd £45. Buried at St Mary Woolchurch Haw, London May 24 1623."
Janet Davies.
Birth:
Daniel Darneley was born about 1567
 .
Daniel Darneley was the son of Roger Derneley and Johanna Prince.
Marriage:
Daniel Darneley married Mary Stalling, daughter of Richard Stalling, about 1600
 .
Marriage:
Daniel Darneley married Cicily Sutton, daughter of John Sutton, on 24 June 1610 at Cobham, Surrey, England,
 .
Daniel Darneley left a will in 1623.
Daniel refers to Richard Croshaw as a 'friend' (to whom he gives the responsibility, with others, of looking after some property until Daniel's children are all of age).
I think that Richard, who called Daniel his 'cousin', was more likely to have been a relative of Daniel's first wife than of Daniel himself.
Richard Croshawe of London died 1631. Richard's will (quite a read) - is on www.archive.org in The Virginia magazine of history and biography, Volume 30 by Virginia Historical Society (page 274 of the original, which comes up as p326/537 on the slider at the foot of the page) in a chapter headed Virginia Gleanings in England.
