Sarah Crossley

ID# 16323, b. about 1605, d. June 1632
Sarah Crossley was also recorded as Sarah Crosley.
From 17 April 1621, her married name was Cox.
Note:

Sar(ah) Crosley married Rodolf Cox at St Mary Colechurch in 1621 (findmypast). They had a son Stephen baptised 20 May 1624 at St Mary le Bow, London (London BMDs), father Raphe. From this I assume that her husband was the Ralffe Cox baptised 8 Feb 1595, St Bride Fleet St, London, with father Stephen. Ralph Cox (fourth spelling) was buried 30 Sep 1631, and Sarah Cox was buried 26 Jun 1632, both at St Andrews, Cobham, Surrey (findmypast). Sarah named her mother as the executor of her will.

BUT web sources about Cobham and Cicely say that Cicely and her SISTER Sarah Cox founded a charity. As Cicely twice refers to Sarah as her daughter in her will, I am inclined to go with Cicely's version of the relationship.

Birth:
Sarah Crossley was born about 1605

Sara/Sarah is a bit of a mystery. The Sara 1603 above seems to have been born and died in that year. In her will, Cicely speaks of her daughter Sarah Cox. So one assumes that another child born after 1603 was given the name Sarah, but I cannot find a record of this even though there is a baptism of another post-1603 child (ie John in 1608).
