at Tintwistle, Cheshire, England, Joseph Dearnaley was a Farmer
(recorded at son Joseph's 1841 marriage.)
This is a potentially weak link in the line.
The evidence for this Joseph's placement is circumstancial.
The property and money in Joseph's will fits well with what we know of John. Also, one of the executors of Joseph's 1834 will is George Hyde who could be his (half-) cousin George 1788 (parents Joseph and Betty Hyde). This could be the same George who was executor of (uncle) Joseph Dearnaley's 1812 will.
And is he the George Hyde of The Hall (Tintwistle Hall) in the 1851 census (HO107 piece: 2239 Folio:296 page: 35)? - JAD
